JOB LOCATION:        Sarasota – Workers’ Compensation Department


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:    High school diploma or its equivalent and 1+ years of legal secretarial experience.  Prior workers’ compensation, insurance defense and/or civil litigation experience highly preferred.  Must be highly organized, detail oriented and able to multi-task. 


SCHEDULE:  Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.        


BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Position will primarily be responsible for scheduling legal events for various attorneys such as court dates, hearings, depositions, mediations, etc.  Will maintain paper and electronic calendars.  Will also serve as float position assisting others with specialized clerical work performing typing, filing and general legal secretarial duties.  Transcribes correspondence and various types of legal documents from dictating equipment.  Data input of attorney time entries for billing statements.  Uses computer programs and document management systems and takes advantage of new technology to enhance job performance. Organizes and maintains case files.  Maintains positive “success for all” team relations.
