Job Description

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or its equivalent and 1+ years of legal secretarial experience. Workers’ compensation/insurance defense experience highly preferred. Must be highly organized, detail oriented and able to multi-task.

SCHEDULE:Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:Specialized clerical work performing typing, filing and general legal secretarial duties. Transcribes correspondence and various types of legal documents from dictating equipment. Maintains electronic and paper calendars for assigned attorneys including scheduling of legal events such as court dates, hearings, depositions, mediations, etc. with courts and other involved parties. Data input of attorney time entries for billing statements. Serves as office receptionist, answering incoming calls, providing information, screening calls by securing information and routes to appropriate person or office. Greets persons entering establishment. Uses computer programs and document management systems and takes advantage of new technology to enhance job performance. Organizes and maintains case files. Maintains positive “success for all” team relations.
