The JCC has jurisdiction to compel a workers'
compensation claimant to attend an independent medical
examination. The employer/carrier had set up an
appointment for the claimant to be seen by an
independent medical examiner and the claimant had
refused to attend. The JCC had the jurisdiction to
enter an order compelling the claimant to attend the
IME.
The District Court of Appeal has jurisdiction to review
an order determining jurisdiction, whether it be viewed
as final or as interlocutory.
