David joined McConnaughhay, Coonrod, Pope, Weaver & Stern in July 2023, bringing expertise in insurance defense, civil litigation, and administrative law proceedings at the State and Federal levels.

Born in Glens Falls, New York in August of 1967, David graduated from the University of Central Florida in 1993, with a Bachelor of Arts in Finance. He then went to earn his Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan in 1998. While in law school, David worked as a judicial intern at The Michigan Tax Tribunal, a quasi-judicial administrative agency. As part of his law school matriculation, David enrolled in a judicial externship for the 56th Circuit Court in Eaton County, Michigan, under the supervision of the Honorable Calvin E. Osterhaven. He rounded out his extracurricular activities as a McDonald Class Senator and a member of the Martial Arts Club.

David has previously worked at small and large Florida firms focusing on workers compensation and social security law, and has practiced personal injury law on behalf of plaintiffs.

David focuses his practice in the area of workers' compensation defense and related matters. He assists employers and carriers throughout the claims process, from investigating the work place accident to defending litigated issues, responding to requests for different forms of benefits, and guiding the client towards successful claim resolution. David represents local and regional employers and national insurers, providing the right counsel for each to effectively protect our clients.

David is admitted to the Florida Bar as well as the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. David is a member of the Workers' Compensation Section and Trial Lawyers Section of the Florida Bar, and he is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.

Active in the Brandon community in which he lives, David is a member of Nativity Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. David also serves on the Board of Directors for the Outreach Free Clinic & Resource Center of Brandon.
