At the early stage of a claim, we prepare Position Statements for employers to submit to the Florida Commission on Human Relations and to the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission when employees/former employees file Charges of Discrimination with those state and federal agencies.

We work closely with employers and their insurers to defend employers against state and federal lawsuits brought under Chapter 760, Florida Statutes (Florida’s Civil Rights Act), Florida’s Whistleblower protection statutes, and the numerous federal statutes that prohibit employment discrimination based on race, gender, disability, age, national origin, religion, and other protected characteristics.

Our attorneys are available to represent employers in wage and hour claims brought under the federal Fair Labor Standards Act, and medical leave claims brought under the federal Family Medical Leave Act.
