Taysha L. Carmody

Taysha Carmody is the managing partner for the Ft. Lauderdale office.  Known for her strategic approach and deep understanding of Florida's complex workers' compensation laws, she has successfully represented a wide range of employers, carriers, and third-party administrators in complex litigation matters throughout Southeast Florida. Taysha has been given the rating of “AV Preeminent,” the highest rating possible by her peers through Martindale-Hubbell.

 Beyond her casework, Taysha is approved by the Florida Department of Financial Services as an instructor in the field of workers' compensation. Taysha is routinely asked to speak at workers’ compensation conferences and educational seminars throughout the country. She is a regular speaker at the Florida Workers’ Compensation Institute’s annual conference in Orlando, where she has participated in panel discussions on emerging litigation trends and mediation strategies. As well, she moderates the Adjuster Breakout sessions, where a variety of topics are discussed and debated with adjusters, risk managers and fellow legal professionals.

 Prior to moving to the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office, Taysha worked as a law clerk in the Tallahassee office of McConnaughhay, Coonrod, Weaver & Stern, P.A., while attending the Florida State University College of Law. She received her undergraduate degree from Villanova University
