Tracey Hyde Awarded 2017 Florida Bar Board Certified Lawyer of the Year

June 23, 2017

Congratulations to Tracey Hyde for being selected to receive the 2017 Justice Anstead Award for The Florida Bar Board Certified Lawyer of the Year.  Tracey leads a distinguished group of board certified Florida Bar members who have been recognized by their colleagues for "exemplary professionalism, excellence, character and commitment to The Florida Bar's certification program and to the practice of law.

The certified lawyer of the year award is named for Justice Anstead because of his ongoing support for board certification and its value to the legal profession. In an April, 2003, letter written during his tenure as Chief Justice, he wrote:

“Certification should be the capstone for a lawyer’s professionalism goals. …A lawyer who specializes should aspire to become certified as a visible way to demonstrate that lawyer’s commitment to professionalism and excellence. Board certification is reliable proof of the character and commitment that sets a lawyer apart.”

Hard work, professionalism and dedication to excellence are necessary to attain board certification. It is a tremendous honor for Tracey to be further singled out as a leader among those Florida Bar members who are known as experts and specialists. Congratulations Tracey!
